Who it’s Good For: This is a highly portable recovery tool that is great for trainees of all levels. The balls are a little dense, so you may have to work up to the intensity. Notable Attributes/Details: These muscle tension release balls are highly durable and come in a pack of two. These balls are cost efficient, great for hard-to-reach spots, and highly portable for muscle tension relief on the go!
They are hard, so the intensity can take some getting used to for beginners.
Buy it! It may well end up being the best $10 you ever spend for the pain relief, improved mobility, and enhanced performance you will experience.

I don’t think anyone would turn away a high-quality massage—the ultimate in self-care. When it comes to relieving sore muscles, expediting the recovery process, and leaving you in a better state of mind, a great massage is undefeated. Unfortunately, access to a professional masseuse or to a super friend/partner to knead your muscular knots on-demand after grueling workouts isn’t always an option. Neither is not pushing yourself through your limitations in order to achieve your goals. (Let’s be great!).
Fortunately for us, not all superheroes wear capes. Fitness enthusiasts may think of hero WODs, but that’s not what I’m talking about today. Sometimes, heroes come in the form of a simple tool that is tiny, cost-effective, and highly effective in increasing range of motion, decreasing soreness, and enhancing performance. This tool is called a lacrosse ball, and I specifically recommend the ones from LAX Stars for all of your self-myofascial releasing needs.
Fascia is the thin sheath of connective tissue that covers all of the muscles and organs of the body; basically it’s a major player in every movement that you make. This all-encompassing sheath takes a beating from various sources such as repetitive movements, poor posture, chronic stress, etc. and can eventually hamper your performance through the development of pain and faulty movement patterns. Using a lacrosse ball can be the perfect way to provide your fascia with the TLC it deserves without the need for an expensive massage. I love to use it on my glutes and under my feet, but it can also be a godsend to those looking for a tool to help them relieve tightness in their hamstrings, chest, shoulders, and upper back. With some massage tools costing around $400, purchasing the lacrosse ball from LAX Stars may be the best and most relaxing $10 you ever spend.
