Yes; it’s a big investment. But a fitness tracker can be a very useful tool if you are a consistent sweat junkie. Some features are more important than others, and if you purchase the wrong one, it’s likely to sit on your dresser or in a drawer until you are brave enough to try the investment again. I get the pain: reading 100 reviews of the Apple Watch, then 100 reviews on the FitBit, then piecing the information together so you can figure out which one is going to be best for you.
So, this review is going to be as simple, and straight-to-the-point as possible. Hopefully it will provide some clarity based on the features you are looking for. Below, I’ve created a table that divides each watch up by feature, for easy comparison.Bottom Line: FitBit takes the cake when it comes to fitness tracking and goal setting. It was designed specifically for the sweat junkie or fitness lover, with a community space that keeps you motivated. FitBit provides a leaderboard with challenges and awards, and the ability to set personal goals instead of the defaults Apple has set in place. The Apple Watch is very “smart,” and if connectivity is important to you, the Apple Watch’s ability to send and receive texts and phone calls from your wrist may appeal to you more. The Apple Watch is an incredible, everyday accessory for the busy, tech savvy sweat junkie. But ultimately, it’s up to you!
