Pros

If you’re looking for a natural alternative to those chemical-based body detox supplements, you’ve found it. The most important takeaway from my LabElymental The Milk Cleanse product review is this: it’s all-natural and makes for a great choice for anyone who wants to cleanse their body gently but effectively. It also gives you a follow-up plan with routines and healthy meals to incorporate into your diet without having to worry about taking a dietary supplement.

Cons

There’s only one con here, but it’s a doozie. The price point for The Milk Cleanse is $295, which might put it out of reach for some people. However, for that price, you do get four supplement bottles of Formula One as well as Formula Two and the Herbal Colon Builder. You also get detailed instructions, nutritional guidelines, and just about everything else you’ll need apart from the milk and meal ingredients.

Bottom Line

Ultimately, this is a great, natural detox cleanse that seems to be worth the cost you’re paying.

Beyond the LabElymental The Milk Cleanse Product Review

With the review in mind, I’d like to turn your attention to other areas. These are some considerations that will help you make an informed decision and then see the best results from the cleanse.

Is Milk Good or Bad?

I’ll begin the discussion with what might be at the front of your question list—is milk good or bad for you? There’s a lot of conflicting information out there about whether milk really does the body good, and you have to separate the facts from fiction.

Is Dairy Bad for You? 6 Facts About Dairy for Your Health – The Health Nerd

In reality, milk is loaded with nutrients, and it helps support strong bones. It can also play a role in heart health. However, milk is an inflammatory agent, and for anyone with an autoimmune disorder, that puts it firmly off the list. Milk has also been implicated in causing acne and eczema as well as breathing problems and digestive health issues. Plus, about 65% of the world’s population is lactose intolerant to some degree.

Note that LabElymental does not include any milk in The Milk Cleanse—you’re responsible for sourcing your own. The company recommends full-fat milk, and they also recommend goat milk over cow’s milk.

Reduce Your Sugar Intake

Another important consideration during your cleanse is to reduce your sugar intake. Sugar is delicious, sure, but it does terrible things to your body. It also has a negative impact on your gut microbiome, which is largely responsible for digesting your food, and your gut microbiome even affects your emotions.

Not sure if you’re consuming too much sugar? Here are a few signs that you need to cut back:

  • Chronically low energy
  • Constant cravings for sweet treats
  • Feeling bloated for no apparent reason
  • Lines and wrinkles on your face
  • Getting sick frequently
  • Weight gain

Of course, cutting out sugar from your diet is harder than many people think and will require not just avoiding things like donuts and sweet treats, but reading nutrition labels. Food manufacturers hide sugar in a very wide range of products under many different names, including:

  • High-fructose corn syrup
  • Corn syrup
  • Sucrose
  • Fructose
  • Dextrose
  • Maltose
  • Glucose
  • Galactose
  • Lactose
  • Brown rice syrup
  • Brown sugar
  • Blackstrap molasses

There are actually almost 60 different names that represent sugar in the foods that we consume.

Consider Natural Fat-Burning Supplements

Cutting out sugar will help boost your energy levels, eliminate calories from your diet, improve your gut health, and more. However, you may still need to consider taking more drastic action. Working out is the single best way to burn fat, but you can augment the effects of your workouts with natural fat-burning supplements. Some great options include:

  • Green tea
  • Lemon water
  • Chamomile tea
  • Probiotics
  • Ginger
  • Flaxseed

You’ll notice that there are no synthetic supplements on that list—these are all real foods that do your body good.

Get Your Vitamins

Finally, you need to make sure that you get the vitamins and minerals that your body needs for good health. The Milk Cleanse will help you hit the reset button. However, once you’ve cleaned out all those toxins, you have to give your body the raw materials required for high energy, clearer skin, and better mental health.

What vitamins and minerals do you need, though? Below, I’ll talk about some of the vitamins to supplement with. However, note that it’s always better to get your vitamins and minerals from the foods you eat, so focus on meat-light, veg-heavy food and eating the rainbow.

Calcium – Heralded for strong bones, calcium also plays a central role in heart health and brain function. You can get it from milk, but many vegetables also have very high calcium levels.

Vitamin B12 – The only vitamin vegans cannot get from their diet naturally, vitamin B12 helps with energy regulation and more. It’s found in meat products, but that’s because it’s produced by microbes in the soil, which cows and other herbivores then ingest. However, with the rise of CAFOs (concentrated animal feeding operations), even animals must take B12 supplements, as they can no longer get it through their diets.

Vitamin D – This vitamin is needed for good bone health and immune system strength. Getting 20 minutes of direct sunshine per day gives you all that you need.

Here’s to Your Health

The Milk Cleanse may ultimately be able to give you the energy boost and body detox that you need. However, it’s up to you to change your lifestyle and eating habits. Cleansing can only do so much good. You have to ditch fad diets, regulate your sugar intake, and make sure that you’re getting enough exercise and the right vitamins and minerals for good health.
