Mubasel Gear vs Sharkmouth Flyhiker Hiking Hydration Backpack Review

Mubasel Gear Hydration Backpack

Mubasel Gear Hydration Backpack

Pros

Who's it for: The runner
It’s lightweight, with 2 separate zipper compartments for your phone or key, a quick access pocket, padded shoulder straps, padded breathable back system, and adjustable chest straps.

Reviewers (and myself!) have realized that this $24 backpack is much better than any camelback we’ve ever owned. It’s easy to run with, and is so lightweight—you never feel like anything is on your back. Reviewers have even used it in Tough Mudders and the Spartan Race, and felt like it never weighed them down.

Cons

Some reviewers said that the “bladder” of this backpack—the part that contains your water—leaked during runs and hikes. I did not personally experience this, but it’s something to note.

Bottom Line

For the price, this is a very good buy if you’re in the market for a lightweight running backpack that’s suitable for short runs and long runs. It doesn’t hold much more than your phone, keys, water, and a protein bar, but how often are you eating during a run?

Pros

Who’s it for: The hiker

Thermal insulation compartment for the water, lightweight material, heavy duty zippers, mesh front pocket for essential items, roomy compartment for a sack lunch or camera, padded back, safety reflectors, and chest strap.

This backpack is roomy enough for everything you’d need on a day hike: sack lunch, an extra t-shirt, flashlight, and a water bladder big enough to last you all day. The best pro? It’s not bulky or heavy, and it doesn’t weigh you down as you hike.

Cons

There was only 1 1-star review of this backpack, in which the reviewer stated the bag began to leak. The company was quick to respond and send them another.

Bottom Line

The Sharkmouth Flyhiker Hiking Hydration Backpack is comfortable. It is perfect for day hikes. It holds the necessities like your phone and a sack lunch without weighing you down.

As a fitness enthusiast, I know the importance of hydration. There are lots of different options for staying hydrated, like flavored vitamin water. When I run or hike, I always like to have water with me. But more often than not, I end up leaving the water at home because I don’t want to have to carry it with me through my entire workout. So I’ve invested in water backpacks for running and hiking—and have narrowed down the pack to the two stellar options below. One’s for the runner, while the others for the hiker. Keep reading to determine which is right for you: Mubasel Gear vs Sharkmouth Flyhiker Hiking Hydration Backpack.
